Workshop of Digital games and applications supporting teaching and learning

The goals of the workshop were to teach the topic of climate change to 8th graders and develop their digital skills. A third goal was that the students in the 8th grade develop themselves digital teaching material about climate change. The pedagogical approach in our workshop was flipped learning. The workshop was part of the larger Climate change project (‘theme days’) for all 8th graders in the school.

Thus, the 8th graders had a task to teach climate change topics for 4th  graders with digital means. The workshop lasted three days, during which the students designed and created, e.g., digital games, memes, cartoons, crossword puzzles, quizzes, classification tasks and videos about climate change.

The digital teaching material was liked in our partner school and they planned to use it in the future in climate change lessons.
